Judd Trump

A new wave of young, ultra-professional players has swept through the world of Snooker in recent years, dubbed "The New Ronnie O'Sullivan" Trump is sure to go far.

Bristol-born Judd Trump is one of the players at the very crest of that wave.

Trump turned pro in 2005 after an amateur career during which he became the youngest ever player to record a competitive 147 maximum break. He was just 14 at the time.

His form came and went over the next five years and his breakthrough had to wait until the 2010/11 season when he reached his first ever ranking final, defeating Mark Selby in the 2011 China Open.

Since then, Trump has won two further titles – including the UK Championship – became world number one and was runner-up to John Higgins in the 2011 World Championships at The Crucible.

His double-quick (and seemingly fearless) playing style has won him legions of fans – and four of the worst nicknames out there. 'Ace in the Pack', 'Danny the Boy', 'Juddernaut' and 'Mr Haircut 100' simply do not cut it. No doubt 'World Champion Judd Trump' would work for him – and it might not be so long in becoming a reality.
