Ian Poulter

In 2010, English Golfer Ian Poulter landed himself in a spot of bother by filming his children eating cereal out of the Ryder Cup trophy. But if any golfer has earned the right to use the cup in this way, it's Poulter.

His mad-eyed, fist-pumping, one-man hurricane of a performance in the 2012 event almost single-handedly dragged Europe back from the abyss of a 10-6 final day deficit at Medinah. Poulter won all four points he played for that year and he inspired Europe to a stunning comeback to retain the trophy against all odds.

Poulter has never managed to bottle the competitive excellence he produces in the Ryder Cup for personal use in his pro career. He's won two PGA and 12 European Tour titles, but has often flattered to deceive in the Majors, with three top three finishes his best returns.

Poulter himself is as loud and brash as the clothing he wears on the course, once famously declaring: 'Don't get me wrong, I really respect every professional golfer, but I know I haven't played to my full potential and when that happens, it will be just me and Tiger.'

We're still waiting, Ian, we're still waiting. And so is Tiger.
