AP Tony McCoy
In horse racing, there are stars, there are legends and then there is AP McCoy.
In fact, Irish jump jockey Anthony Peter McCoy is so revered that he is known simply as AP (and occasionally The Champ), putting him right up there with other one-name celebs such as Elvis and God.
In 1992, aged just 17, he won his first race. In 2013, he secured his 4,000th, winning 18 consecutive Champion Jockey titles along the way. To put that in perspective, the previous record holder was Peter Scudamore with seven.
AP has won the lot in National Hunt racing – the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother Champion Chase, King George VI Chase and, finally, the Grand National (after a decade or so of trying) in 2010.
And in case you don't believe just what a big deal AP really is, he's the only jockey to have won BBC Sports Personality of the Year, landing the big one in the same year he won the Grand National.
