Jack Charlton Autographs & Memorabilia Memorabilia

It says a lot for Jack Charlton's character that he never lived his life in the shadow of his more gifted footballing brother Bobby.

A one-club man – his 762 appearances for Leeds is a club record, Charlton's international career was a long time coming, but well worth the wait.

He was only called into the England squad in 1965, days before his 30th birthday. A year later, he and Bobby were helping England to win the World Cup.

After some successful forays into club management, Jack took over as Republic of Ireland boss in 1986, guiding them to two World Cup and one European Championship finals appearances.

The team was Jack through and through – hard working, no-nonsense and highly effective – and his efforts earned him honorary Irish citizenship in 1996.
