1976. The FA Cup final. Man United to beat Southampton. Easily. One Mick Channon goal later, the Saints had gone marching into the history books and pulled off a major shock to do it.
It is, to date, the club's only major piece of silverware, although they came perilously close to winning the league in 1984 before the all-conquering Liverpool pipped them by three points.
These days, they're an attractive team with an excellent youth set-up and a deserved place in the top flight of English football. But not so long ago they were in administration and League One.
Their current success is down to the likes of England international Adam Lallana, but surely every piece about Southampton is almost legally required to mention the club's all-time greatest player Matt Le Tissier.
We have a superb range of 100% authentic high quality prints hand-signed by Le Tiss and Lallana as well as gloves personally signed by veteran keeper Kelvin Davis and a captain's armband autographed by James Beattie.
